In running small internet business, it is common to do it at home. Many people nowadays running their business from their home offices which brings them less cost than hiring office space in modern high rise building complex. This trends raised a big challenge in decorating home office so that can increase customers trust who want to make business deals with them.

One of the most versatile tool in decorating home office is by using rugs. If you want to add elegant impressions or just spice up the color scheme to your home office room, choosing the right rugs might be the easiest way to achieve it. And the best of all, there are thousands of rug styles available so you can easily find the right choice to create the exact effect in your home office room. But in choosing the right ones many thing must be taken into considerations so that your choice fulfill your needs. Making the wrong choice may bring bad impressions and influences to your customers which in ultimately bring negative effects to you business.

If your home office has a large space, a floor-size rug will be the main decorating element in your room, and it can easily overpower and overwhelm any other elements, including your furnitures, wall decorating arts and other accents. A busy pattern or bright colors can distract attention from the rest of your room. It doesn’t mean though that you’re stuck with neutral colors. Just pick a floor size rug in a pattern or solid which will serve as the perfect anchor for the colors of the walls and furnitures. In the other hand, if your home office is not a large one, small area rugs can form a backdrop features and serve a functional as well as a decorative role in your home office decorating scheme. The rug that you choose for your floor can anchor and establish the style of the entire room and, especially, will add a graceful touch of color while defining a comfortable seating area for your home office waiting room.

Once you have made decision on the size that you need, take a moment to set your budget up. If you are not sure what to expect as far as price goes, do a little research online. This way you can choose to order online or at a home decor store so you can have a better idea of what rugs cost. Or, you can set your budget up early, to make sure that you do not spend too much when you actually get to the store. In addition, since there are so many styles of rugs out there, doing a little research also allows you to see what is out there in terms of styles, patterns, sizes and prices. By searching around, you may find other varieties which are also available as a comparison to all of your options, so that you will finally find cheap rugs that fit to your home office decorating scheme.

I couldn’t agree more. My home office was minimal at best a few months back. I started randomly flipping through ebay pages, and found an amazing (almost) 100 year old persian rug in great condition. It’s 12 feet x 10 feet, has an amazing pattern and only cost me $300. Since the office itself was basically bare bones, the warm red of the rug brought an entirely new look to the room. Really…ebay…the prices aren’t always the cheapest but if you keep an eye out for some bargains, there’s pure office gold to be found in those pages.

Nice tip, but I’m thinking, using rugs will actually require you to spend more time in cleaning (vacuuming)? That’s just one single disadvantage of using rugs.

But yes, putting them in the middle of a spacious, plain white floor gives the entire space a different look. It serves as a room accent actually. And having them gives a warm look and feel for the entire room.

That is really a god tip but I don’t want to spend a lot of money by buying that kind of rugs. And I think you need to spend time to clean it. I don’t think of using rugs..

Rug tape is an excellent accessory. If you have a heavy footfall or you have chairs etc then sometimes these can move the rug or cause it to lift up. Tape is great at keeping it in place.
