In building backlinks from comments, what exactly your main goal is? Driving traffic or just getting vote from high PR site? Are you concerned to whether your comments were using ‘no follow’ or not?
For many bloggers do not worry if there is a “no follow” attribute attached to the link. But if you are concerned about this – one way is to look at the source code to see if it has the “no follow” tag. I usually copy the whole source code of the page to my text editor and then do a simple “no follow” search.
There is a great little free comment tool called Comment Kahuna, which will search blogs and tell you if they have the “no-follow” attribute or not. It will also give you the PageRank of each blog post. If you’re going to use blogs as a source of your backlinks, I suggest you try Comment Kahuna. It absolutely will make the task much easier and, amazingly,… it’s Free!.
Comment Kahuna will search the web for thousands of blogs based on your criteria on keywords and page ranks. Once it displays the sites with good page ranks, you can click them one by one and add the comments. The higher the site’s page rank, the better it works for you in the long run to improve your own search ranks.
What actually did by this tool is just the searching process of finding high rank sites, opening the page and commenting right there within the tool and in most cases defaulting values for comments (your name, email address, website etc) – so it’s like you are spending hardly 20 secs to create one comment for one back link.
Just as a reminder, it’s an ethical code to read the post before commenting otherwise your comment will be treated as spam because mostly the comments are moderated.

I knew about the commentkahuna but then as what ppl said, you know about something but did not do anything about it, 95% you will be totally forget about it. So do i..
Thanks again for mentioning about this product. I’ve downloaded and waiting to test drive. Hahaha

try searching in quotes for:
“Enable CommentLuv which will try and parse your last blog post, please be patient while it finds it for you”
plus your keyword. This will find posts with CommentLuv enabled, and they are usually dofollow.

KeywordLuv is great, and also CommentLuv. I haven’t used CommentKahuna yet, but I have used the Real Link Finder by Neil Shearing. It works great.
I am going to check out the Comment Kahuna and give it a test. Thanks for sharing it…
I have just downloaded Comment Kahuna and I’m testing it out now. It appears to be a useful tool but I am interested to see how in tools such as G.A. it lists the referrer for these users. I also have found that it doesn’t necessarily find dofollow blogs, it just finds blog
Hi,
If you are using firefox, there is a simpler way to check for nofollow links. Just right-click on the link and choose Properties – if there is a nofollow rel tag set, you will see Relation: nofollow

Great post m8, posting this post with Kahuna
It is really cool to have the keywordluv plugin in your blog, this will produce healthier discussions as more people will be attracted to leave their views due to the benefit of it.
Good post. I’m new to blogging, and I though understanding wordpress was difficult, now I’m learning about comment luv/keyword luv and link building… lol. I will check out comment kahuna… thanks.

I’ve actually found that when searching with “enable commentluv” a large majority of the sites are not actually nofollow links. Keywordluv is a much better feature in my opinion.
Thanks for this tip. I was getting a bit desperate for finding more software that will help me identify do-follow from no-follow links.
More power to you! Cheers!

I have been using comment kahuna before, but after knowing how to find keyword related articles from wordpress blogs that uses keywordluv and commentluv, then I preferred the latter ones…
Thanks for the post, and thank you for adding our comment to you blog.
comment kahuna is good, but fast blog finder is better(if it was a free tool)
but if you want to get a link back .. here is an easy tips..
just search for blogs using commentLuv.

i think fast blog finder can only show certain blog only. If i am not mistaken, we need to get paid version to have unlimited search. Anyone has try it before?
My utmost reason for commenting on blogs is the transfer of some PR. If i get traffic, fine.
Anyway Kahuna is the bomb!
another useful plug-in, though, I would still prefer keywordluv for back links. it works effectively for me.
how it works?.. just leave message and get traffic? .. its really ?

is there any free tool also avilable as well?
I noticed this blog uses COmmentLuv not Kahuna. I thought about installing CommentLuv but I’ll check the other out as well. Only “problem” with WordPress is that there are so many choices when it comes to 3rd party plug ins!

The makers of comment kahuna also have two other great services one called syndicate kahuna and one called traffic kahuna, both of which are a terrific source of backlinks.
I found your blog on google and read a few of your other posts. I just added you to my Google News Reader. Keep up the good work. Look forward to reading more from you in the future.

I just bought a new 3 character domain (cost me a packet) for a niche review blog, and i was wondering if your design is a free or paid one? I’m new to Wordpress and about to set it up, and i would really like to get something with a similar look to yours. Any ideas where i could download or buy something similar? Thanks for your help!
